iPhone Browsing on Windows Mobile? Sure can...with TouchBrowser 1.1.3!

System Requirements: Works on all Pocket PCs running Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile Professional 5.0 and above. Additional functionality (Zoom) when running under 6.1. QVGA and VGA versions available. Will not work on Palm Treo.
Specifications: Requires approx. 440Kb of program memory. PPC2003 and WM5 will require an additional 3 to 5 Mb to install the .NET framework.

Pros:
  • Simple and small to install;
  • Gesture support is intuitive and responsive;
  • Favorites is integrated with Mobile Favorites in Activesync and PIE.
Cons:
  • A little expensive for just a browser;
  • Response time to gestures sometimes dragged;
  • History limited to last 10 URLs
  • Limited number of gestures supported and some functions require going back to the stylus.

Summary:
Envious of all your friends walking around with iPhones? Wish you could show off the same web browsing with a flick of the finger? (Yea, I know. There's a lot more to the iPhone than just web browsing but...) Well, look no further! TouchBrowser offers a gesture-based replacement for Pocket IE which promises to let you flick your way through the internet with the best of them. While TouchBrowser does a good job of the basic capabilities, but you'll need the stylus for some things.
